This isn't your basic ground beef chili, friends. We're talking premium Nannas Farm Belted Galloway beef chunks that literally melt in your mouth. Those beautiful black-and-white "oreo cows" don't just look good - they taste INCREDIBLE.

  • 500g grass finished mince
  • 500g diced beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 red capsicum, diced
  • I added 3 finely sliced Brussels sprouts (def non trad)
  • 2 chipotle chilies, diced. And their adobe sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can tinnedtomatoes
  • 1 tbsn unsweetened cocoa (classic Mexican-it works)
  • 2 can rinsed black beans, or your fave bean
  • Grated cheddar, crΓ¨me fraiche,diced avo, corn chips to serve


  1. Brown beef in batches. Set aside
  2. Saute onions, then add garlic, capsicum and sprouts. SautΓ© til soft
  3. Add all ingredients plus s+p and 1 can water. Simmer for 2hrs
  4. Appreciate the Smokey aroma in the kitchen!
  5. Serve with cheddar etc
